Keefe Law Firm is a litigation firm founded in 2005 with nearly two decades of unwavering dedication to environmental protection and public health. From its start, our firm’s mission has been rooted in the belief that the environment deserves the same level of advocacy afforded to our clients. We have built our reputation upon holding polluters accountable, and securing justice for individuals and municipalities impacted by toxic contamination.
Our managing partner John Keefe Jr. has served as plaintiff’s counsel in state and national class action lawsuits, has tried numerous matters to verdict, and has prosecuted hundreds of cases on behalf of victims of personal injury, consumer fraud, and products liability. Our team has handled some of the largest and most consequential environmental cases in New Jersey’s history – whether advocating for communities whose drinking water supplies have been tainted by pollutants, or representing individuals harmed by exposure to hazardous chemicals, our practice is defined by a commitment to safeguarding the environment around us and defending the public’s right to clean natural resources.
Currently, our most significant fight is our representation of individuals and municipalities affected by exposure to PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) through the long-term and widespread usage of the firefighting foam known as AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam), which for decades was manufactured to include PFAS chemicals. Since the 1970s, AFFF was used without adequate warnings of the dangers of PFAS, resulting not only in serious health consequences for firefighters and military personnel, but widespread environmental contamination. Today, Keefe Law Firm represents hundreds of firefighters, military service members, municipalities, and water providers nationwide who have been most affected by this exposure. These cases allow us to continue our firm’s mission: ensuring that those who harm the environment and endanger public health are held accountable.
